Dr Sunil Lahane takes charge as MWCMC Commissioner

Dr. Sunil Lahane on Tuesday took charge as the Commissioner of the Nanded-Waghala Municipal Corporation after being appointed for the post on April 5. Prior to this posting, he was the Additional Commissioner of the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation.

Dr. Sunil Lahane is a resident of Mackgaon (Tal. Renapur, Latur district). He completed his graduate studies at Parbhani's Veterinary College. He was subsequently elected as the Chief Officer through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission in 1979. So far he has worked as the chief officer of Municipality of Paithan, Vasmat, Lonavla, Islampur. He also served in various posts such as Ahmednagar, Vasai Virar, Deputy Commissioner in Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation and Deputy Director at Municipal Administration Directorate of Warali, Mumbai. He was working as additional commissioner in Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation. He has now taken over as Commissioner of Nanded Municipal Corporation from Tuesday.
