Google's free WiFi service will no longer be available at Railway Station
Free WiFi service provided by Google at train stations will no longer be available. Google has been shutting down its free WiFi service 'Google Station' project in India and other countries, saying 'it has been easier and cheaper to go online since the service was launched five years ago'.
Apart from India, the service was also provided in Nigeria, Thailand, Philippines, Mexico, Indonesia, Brazil and South Africa, but now the service will be discontinued. Creating your online identity in the country has become easy and the internet has also become cheaper. So Google has given the reason why the station service is no longer needed. Steps are being taken by the government to provide internet access to all. The Internet situation has improved drastically. So, some countries are facing technical problems for this project, which is why the project is being discontinued ', as Google has suggested.
In the year 2005 Google had launched 'Station', a free public WiFi service with Indian Railways and Railways. It is understood that free Wi-Fi service will continue to be available at railway stations in India even after Google closes this project. This is because RailTel is aware that the service will continue and provide free WiFi service to more than 5,600 railway stations across the country.
